After Charlotte's Web
After watching Charlotte's Web at WKU, we had PLANNED on eating a picnic lunch at Beaver Trail Park followed by some playtime. However, the cold, windy weather spoiled our big plans. We improvised by eating our lunch at the Greenwood Mall food court. We treated the students to a cookie each from the cookie shop and a ride on the carousel! In the words of William, "this was better than RECESS!" I could not have been more proud of the students' behavior while at the mall. They received compliments from total strangers on their behavior. We had so much fun!
Charlotte's Web
Our class was selected to attend Charlotte's Web in theater at Van Meter Hall at WKU in Bowling Green. In the weeks leading up to the play we dove right into reading Charlotte's Web! The kids were so entranced by this timeless story! The day finally came that we got to go see it in theater!
Here we are in front of Cherry Hall at WKU. Maybe some of us will be Hilltoppers after we graduate high school!
