Here are a few more photos from our Kindergarten Career Day. These are photos of our future botanist, preacher, artists, and moms. Thank you to the community members who came to support these students by teaching them about their jobs.
When my students learn all of their kindergarten sight words, Dr. Allen presents them with a blue Star Reading bracelet which shows that they are reading on grade level.
I am originally from southwestern Indiana where I graduated from the University of Evansville with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught Kindergarten and first grade in Indiana before moving to Glasgow. My husband is a Glasgow native, hence my move to the great state of Kentucky. After moving to Kentucky, I taught Kindergarten in Warren County. This is my fourth year teaching Kindergarten at Highland.
My husband and I were married in June 2009. I am blessed with a 12 year old step-daughter and a 6 month old son. We have two dogs and two cats.
I am so excited to be working with your child this year. I look forward to watching them grow!
