Jackson's Orchard Field Trip

We had SO MUCH FUN at Jackson's Orchard on Tuesday! The weather was perfect and we were the only school at the orchard. We picked pumpkins, played on the playground, learned how to make apple cider, got lost in a corn maze, ate apples, cookies, and apple cider slushies. We also got to go on a hayride. Our class got to take the very last hayride at Jackson's for 2011! They must have saved the best for last!

Make a Difference in Someone's Life

Mrs. Flowers, our principal, tells us every morning to learn something new and make a difference in someone's life. On Monday, she recognized Sydney in front of the entire school for making a difference in someone else's life. Way to go, Sydney!

Patterns

This week in math we have been extending and creating simple patterns. Here are some students showing off patterns they created in class.

CrAzY DaY!

This week is Red Ribbon Week, and in support of it, Highland students were asked to "dress crazy" today. And boy did they dress crazy! Here are a handful of students in our class that really dressed the part!

Mrs. Taylor brought her 2nd grade music class to visit us today. They have been practicing African tribal music. They did a great job performing for us!
