Watermelons! Yum, yum!!
Mrs. Honeycutt, our Family Resource Coordinator, was able to purchase watermelons for our snack time today through a grant that promotes healthy eating. Thanks, Mrs. Honeycutt! We devoured every bit of our watermelon!

TJ Samson Hospital Service Learning Project
When Mrs. Morgan told the class she was having a baby, we read several books about babies and then wrote a class book about how babies change and grow. Mrs. Morgan wrote a grant in order to get those books published through mixbook.com. We each received our own copy of the book to keep and we took the rest to the TJ Samson Hospital Nursery. The nurses took us on a tour and taught us all about babies. The nurses will give the remaining books to the new moms who deliver babies at TJ in the coming weeks.
Chaney's Dairy Farm Field Trip
We went to Chaney's Dairy Farm in Bowling Green for a field trip. We enjoyed learning about cows, playing on the playground, and eating ice cream!

Kentucky Derby
This week we have learned about the Kentucky Derby. We made derby hats and horses. We even had our very own derby race on Friday. Sydney was the winner from our girls' race. Maddox was the winner from our boys' race. Great job to everyone!
