These are the skills we will be focusing on this week:
We will be reading the story Little Quack together and will focus on the comprehension skill of plot (the things that happen in the beginning, the middle, and the end of a story).
We will focus on the letter: Rr
We will be able to read and spell the high-frequency words: me, with, she
Our Amazing Words this week: duckling, pond, paddle, plunged, proud, brave
We will also continue discussing Thanksgiving, Native Americans, and Pilgrims. We will be working on many Thanksgiving crafts and reading many Thanksgiving stories.
Math: Next week, we will begin sorting by shape, size, and color. This week, we will be doing review.
No Spelling Test this week since we will only be here two days.
News & Reminders:
No School on Wednesday, Nov. 25, Thursday, Nov. 26, or Friday, Nov. 27. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving Feast: On Tuesday, November 24, our class will be celebrating with a Thanksgiving feast in our classroom! (You are invited!) Please remember to send in your assigned can of vegetable, if possible. More detailed info is located on the back of the newsletter.
Winter weather is upon us! Please make sure your child is dressing appropriately so they are being kept warm during outdoor recess.
