Grandparents Day!

The Kindergarten classes celebrated Grandparents Day on October 1 at Highland. Thank you Mrs. Taylor (music teacher) and Mrs. Honeycutt (Family Resource Coordinator) for all of their hard work on this special day! The kindergartners sang four songs and then got to eat breakfast with their grandparents. Grandparents were invited to see the kindergarten classrooms at Highland after breakfast. Thank you to all the grandparents, parents, and other family members who came to support their kindergartners on this special day!

All four kindergarten classes singing "It's So Good To See You"
Izaac dancing along to the music.

Mammoth Cave Visit

A representative from Mammoth Cave visited our class on September 22 to teach us about the basic needs of animals. We got to play a game outside that helped us remember animals' basic needs.

Johnny Appleseed's Birthday

We celebrated Johnny Appleseed's Birthday by reading about him and then making and eating homemade applesauce. It was delicious! Donavin made sure he got every last drop off of it off his plate!
