Happy birthday, Mrs. Wyatt!

Our class celebrated Mrs. Wyatt's birthday on November 21 with a surprise party. We gave her a Willow Tree Angel and each student wrote an incredibly sweet letter to her explaining why they loved her. Below you can see the students reading their letters to Mrs. Wyatt. They did such a good job on their letters!!!

Family Literacy Night

Thursday, November 17, Highland held our annual Family Literacy Night. Hundreds came out for free pizza and drinks. Afterwards, students played "Turkey BINGO"! With only 10 BINGO winners the whole night, our class proved to have luck on our side! Our very own Maddie, Landon, and even Mrs. Morgan won! Maddie and Landon each took home a very large frozen turkey and a $10 Glasgow Chamber of Commerce gift certificate. They are pictured above with their certificates and turkeys.

m&m Graphing

Last week we learned how to make and read simple graphs. Here we are making graphs with m&m's. Thank you to Mrs. Becky Honeycutt and the Highland Family Resource Center for providing the m&m's for this fun (and delicious) math lesson.

Highland's Thanksgiving Feast

Thursday, November 17, the Highland cafeteria served a Thanksgiving feast to students and visitors. Our class dressed as if we were going to the first Thanksgiving. The students were able to choose to dress as a Pilgrim or Native American. The lunch was delicious and we had fun eating with our parents and grandparents.

Fire Department Visit

The Glasgow Fire Department visited the Highland Kindergarten classes today. We got to see the fire trucks and go in the smoke house. We learned how to evacuate a burning building and go to a safe spot.
