Madeline's Christmas Field Trip

Last year, my kindergarten class was the lucky winner of free tickets to see Charlotte's Web in theatre thanks to Bowling Green attorney Flora Templeton-Stuart.  My class wrote thank you letters to send to her. This fall, I received an email from Ms. Templeton-Stuart expressing her appreciation for last years thank you letters and she explained that she'd like to send this year's class on an all-expense paid trip to see Madeline's Christmas in theatre at WKU!

We LOVED the musical! Afterwards, we ate lunch at the mall food court. Mrs. Gibbons treated all the kids to cookies from the cookie shop! AND we got to ride the carousel! What a fun day!

Autumn Art

The students wrote about their favorite part of autumn and made a beautiful painting using their hand and fingerprints.

TV Stars

Jackson, Brooklyn, and Brookelynn were interviewed for the Advantage Channel today. They will be on tv to talk about Thanksgiving!

Highland's Best Day Ever!

Highland celebrated a huge increase in KPREP test scores last Friday by hosting Highland's  Best Day Ever!  We got to Sharpen Our Saws all day by spending time with our friends and learning new things that we don't normally get to experience on a typical school day.

Students got to choose 2 activities from a wide range of options.  Mrs. Morgan's class was turned into Disney studios where students learned how to draw Olaf from Disney's Frozen. At first glance, many said, "That's too hard! I won't be able to draw Olaf!" But as they followed step-by-step instructions, Olaf came to life on their pages!

Thank you, Mrs. Mudd, for allowing us to have its memorable day!

Jackson's Orchard

So I'm a little (a lot, really) late in posting pictures from Jackson's Orchard that I had taken with my camera; but better late than never, right?  See a previous post to see pictures I had snapped with my phone at Jackson's.
