Sums of 10

We are currently working on memorizing the sums of 10. Here is a song you can practice to help you remember the sums of 10.

Make a Ten
Make a ten, make a ten. We know ways to make a ten.

9+1 and 8+2, they have sums of 10 it's true.

7+3 and 6+4, do you know there are two more?

5+5 and 0+10, now let's say them all again!

Math Post-Test on Thursday!

Just a reminder, we will be testing over our current Math "I Can" skills this Thursday, February 9!

I can count to 100.

I can identify all numbers to 100.

I can write all numbers to 100.

I can identify 2D and 3D shapes.

I can identify the place value of a number. (Which digit is in the hundreds/tens/ones place?)

Math: Place Value

In our journals, we made various two-digit numbers with base ten cutouts. For example, Patricia was given the number "51". So she glued 5 sets of tens and 1 set of one in her journal.

More 100th Day of School

During recess, we watched a Leap Frog math DVD and ate our 100th day trail mix.

100th Day of School

We made 100th day trail mix. We counted out 10 different snacks, like cereal or crackers, and got 10 of each. We learned that 10 sets of 10 make 100!

We also made a necklaces out of 100 pieces of Cheerios!
