Christmas In Mexico

Throughout the month of December, we have been learning all about holiday traditions celebrated around the world. One of the countries we learned about was Mexico. We learned that some families celebrate with a pinata. We decided to give it a try ourselves. After just a few hard swings from our Kindergartners, the pinata broke off from our rope hanging from the ceiling (see it on the left side of the picture below). So we made due and tried to bust it open as it was on the floor. Everyone was able to get at least one turn at trying to bust the pinata. We had so much fun!

Batter up! It is Elliott's turn.

Trinton takes a swing.

After the pinata busted, we took turns choosing candy.
